Rentel was founded by a consortium of 8 solid Belgian shareholders with significant experience in the offshore wind energy sector. Together, they have joined forces in a Belgian strategic knowledge and skills centre to develop, finance and operate this offshore wind project.

The Rentel offshore wind farm is located about 34 km from the port of Zeebrugge and 40 km from Ostend. The headquarters for the development and operational management of the park is located in the port of Ostend.

Elicio owns 38.6 MW of the entire project. The wind farm has been operational since September 2018.
