The consortium Elicio and BayWa r.e. proudly announces the successful submission of the Pennavel project, a bid carefully crafted to align with and serve France renewable energy targets. The bid reflects our commitment to tailored solutions that are not only innovative but also responsive to the unique requirements of the region and its stakeholders.
As part of this challenge, the consortium Elicio-Baywa r.e. wants to thank all partners and contributors who played a key role in the development and preparation of this bid. The collective efforts and expertise have been vital in ensuring that our bid embodies excellence and effectiveness.
Looking forward to the results of this tender which should be unveiled early 2024, the consortium Elicio-Baywa r.e. is dedicated to continuing its engagement for the development of the onshore and offshore wind industry in the region and in France.
We are thrilled to announce our participation at ITECHMER, an international event for the fishing industry, taking place from October 11 to 13. About the consortium:
Elicio and BayWa r.e. are two renewable energy developers and operators.
Elicio has 15 years' successful experience in offshore wind. The company has developed, built and operates 3 offshore wind farms off the Belgian coast, the SeaMade, Norther and Rentel projects, totalling 144 wind turbines and over 1.1 GW. Today, Elicio operates 11 of its 37 onshore wind farms in Europe, in the Brittany region.
BayWa r.e., which has been active in France since 2005, has already built 340 MW of wind farms and photovoltaic installations in France, using a regional approach. The company employs 3,000 people worldwide, including 250 in France and 50 at its office in Nantes.
About Pennavel:
Elicio and BayWa r.e. are jointly managing the Pennavel project as part of the response to the call for tenders for the construction and operation of a floating offshore wind farm in southern Brittany. The two companies are complementary: the consortium combines Elicio's experience in offshore wind energy with BayWa r.e.'s experienced teams, international reach and local presence.
