Floating Energy Allyance bids for floating wind in ScotWind Leasing

Across the 15 sites on offer, 74 applications have been submitted by experienced offshore wind developers, making ScotWind an very competitive tender process. 

 

The Floating Energy Allyance (FEA) consortium – in which Elicio is a partner - has submitted a number of applications to Crown Estate Scotland for commercial-scale floating offshore wind projects as part of the process.  Elicio brings its significant and successful experience in fixed offshore wind to the table, from early development to construction and operation, and benefits from the unique return on experience of the SeaMade, Norther and Rentel Belgian offshore wind farms totaling more than 1.1GW of operational capacity.

Bidding closed on the 16th of July and Crown Estate Scotland is expected to announce the successful applicants in early 2022.  Successful applicants in the ScotWind round will then receive an up to 10-years exclusive right to develop their projects.
